Storyline
The plot narrates the emotional odyssey of a Central American family that, faced with adversity, is forced to leave their home in search of a better future. The path they undertake is fraught with risks, crossing arid and dangerous landscapes, brown rivers, food shortages, terrifying trains, inhospitable borders, fears and a series of innumerable difficulties. The two main characters are the mother and her little son, who will fight to overcome all the obstacles that come their way, in order to reach their final destination in the United States.
However, the journey is stopped dead upon reaching the border between Mexico and the United States, being intercepted by the immigration authorities. From this moment on, the story takes a darker turn, after going through immigrant centers, cold rooms and an unknown language. The most heartbreaking moment comes when the mother is separated from her son, which plunges both into a veritable hell on earth in order to meet again.
