Storyline
A mother [MARIAM MARTIN] struggles with alcoholism and its impact on her
relationship with her 9-year-old daughter [KIMMY MARTIN]. After receiving a
voicemail from her estranged husband [ALAN MARTIN] and witnessing what she
believes to be an alcohol-induced hallucination of a mannequin in her yard,
Mariam attempts to stop drinking. When the appearance of Mannequins persists,
Mariam begins to spiral and turns to the bottle for comfort. In her drunken state,
she finds footage recorded by her daughter revealing her death and the
significance of the mannequins appearing in the afterlife with her. In the living
realm, an older Kimmy reflects on her relationship with her mother and her
alcoholism in therapy.
