We can accept union and non-union actors through our student agreement with ACTRA. This is a non-paying student film and no permit is required. Actors will receive a copy of the finished film for their demo reel. Meals and beverages will be provided on the shoot days. If transportation is required we can arrange for a ride for the actor during filming.
Storyline
The Children's AID PSA begins with our lead, Rodger, as a new foster parent. He is nervous about making the wrong first impression for the arrival of his Foster child. Before this child, Mia, arrives at the house, Rodger makes some last-minute changes, including moving a teddy bear he deemed too childish for her. Mia nervously enters the home, but after seeing the gesture of the nice teddy bear, she warms up to Rodger.

Description Mia/Mark is a foster kid of any ethnicity who has been in and out of orphanages her/his whole life. When they're picked to go into a home by the children's aid society, they are optimistic but cautious. When they see the house, their nerves get the better of her/him, and they walk in with a good amount of fear until they notice the gift their foster parent got them and can tell they'll be cared for. This performance needs to be able to relate to the struggles of foster kids, mainly without dialogue and through their facial performances. | ||

Description Rodger/Rachel is an aging person of any ethnicity who has lost their partner recently but has too much pride to admit their loneliness. This person was a foster child themselves at an early age, and they've decided they want to give someone else the same type of love and search for a child within the foster system. This parent has a goofy personality and is very sweet to their friends but is nervous about taking care of a kid for the first time. Rodger/Rachel is the heart of the story and is who this PSA will focus on as we want the Rodgers/Rachels of the world to take the leap and consider fostering. | ||
